As of December 2, 2024, the current health insurance card will be abolished, and the system will　transition to primarily using the Myna Health Insurance Card when visiting medical institutions. Consequently, the issuance of health insurance cards, including reissuance, will no longer be conducted. However, those who possess the current health insurance card may continue to use it until December 1, 2025.

 

When visiting medical institutions in the future, please present one of the following:
A) My Number Card (Myna Health Insurance Card)
　 It is necessary for the My Number to be registered in the health insurance system. Additionally,
　 the patient must consent to use the My Number Card as their health insurance card.
B) Current Health Insurance Card
　 It is valid until December 1, 2025.
C) Verification of Eligibility
　 This serves as an alternative method when the Myna Health Insurance Card or current health
　 insurance card cannot be used.
