The current Paper Health Insurance Eligibility Certificate (Paper Certificate) issued is valid until August 31, 2026. A new Paper Certificate will be issued to those who possess the current document as of July 31, 2026, and meet any of the following conditions:

 

- Those who do not have a My Number Card
- Those who have a My Number Card but have not registered it for the Health Insurance Card use
- Individuals who find it difficult to use Myna health Insurance Card and require special considerations
(The application to and approval from Sony Health Insurance Society is required.)

 

The new Paper Certificate will be delivered to eligible individuals between August 19 and August 31, 2026. Please use the new Paper Certificate after September 1, 2026.

Sony Health Insurance Society will launch electronic issuance of Health Insurance Eligibility Certificate (Digital Health Insurance Eligibility Certificate) effective August 1, 2026.

You can display the "Digital Health Insurance Eligibility Certificate / Digital Certificate" electromagnetically on an electronic device such as a smartphone and present it for use at the reception of a medical institution.

Between August 19 and August 31, 2026, a leaflet explaining how to use the "Digital Certificate" will be enclosed with the Paper Certificate. Upon receipt, please review the leaflet and prepare to use the "Digital Certificate" by November 30, 2026 (the expiration date of Paper Certificate).

Please note that after the launch of the "Digital Certificate", Paper Certificate will be issued only to those who either require third-party assistance (such as a caregiver) when using Myna health Insurance Card for hospital visit, or do not have a smartphone.
※Children's "Digital Certificate" can be displayed on their parents' smartphones.


Sony Health Insurance Society outsources the electronic issuance of "Digital Health Insurance Eligibility Certificate " to White Healthcare Inc.
Personal information used for verification will be handled appropriately in accordance with Sony Health Insurance Society's Personal Information Policy (Basic Policy).
